Delegation & Medication Management – Assigning nursing tasks appropriately and overseeing medication administration.
Health Monitoring & Chronic Disease Support – Regular assessments for vital signs, weight, and ongoing conditions.
Physician Collaboration – Partnering with medical professionals for comprehensive care.
Staff Training Requirements
Licensed Professionals – Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Maryland.
Background Check – Successfully pass a criminal background check.
Certifications – Hold First Aid & CPR certifications.
DDA Training – Complete DDA training for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Behavioral Health Certification – Obtain MANDT Certification for managing behavioral health concerns.
Transportation Requirements – Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, when applicable.
Professional Development – Nursing staff participate in continuous professional development, staying updated on healthcare advancements, treatments, and best practices for individuals with developmental disabilities.
